Have you run a reverse image search on the artwork?

Have you confirmed the artwork appears only under this creator's name?

Does the creator's own website or profile link to this exact collection?

The contract

Is this the contract address the creator published, not a lookalike?

Have you confirmed the contract does not let the creator alter or revoke tokens?

Have you checked the contract for transfer restrictions?

Do you know how royalties behave when the token is resold?

Trading activity

Have you checked that trading volume comes from many different buyers?

Have you looked for tokens moving back and forth between the same wallets?

The creator

Can the creator's identity be verified somewhere outside the marketplace?

Is the creator still active and reachable?

Have you looked into what happened to the creator's earlier collections?

Storage and your own safety

Do you know where the artwork file and its metadata are actually stored?

Is the artwork stored somewhere that does not depend on one server staying up?

Have you checked the listing without connecting your wallet to any site?

Did you reach the listing yourself, rather than through a link sent in a message?
